apparently there's been in a mistake in the local press. Our performances are on Friday, the 21st and Saturday the 22nd! Not on Sunday!

Preorders for Friday performance closed

Dear audience, preorders for the Friday performance are hereby closed, as we're nearly sold out. There is still a smaller number of places available at the door, so if you are feeling spontaneous you'd better be early. :) Thanks a lot!
There are, however, still more places available for Saturday.

Our quote for today

"You know what I think is wrong? These letters! These goddamn letters!"

It's all coming together...

Yesterday, we had our first rehearsal at the Raststätte. We're really quite excited; it's going to be beautiful. :)
Will return on Monday for a further run-through, and we'll also take pictures there.

Thanks a lot to Waltraud Nießen, Lukas and the Raststätte people for their friendly welcome and support.

„Outside of you, and I mean outside of you, this was probably the most important thing that ever happened to me. But it's over, it's gone, and I'm coming home, and that's all I want to say about it, ever again.“

Appetiser No. 1

Here's an appetiser: From today on, we'll post the occasional quote from "Love Letters" here and on Facebook, for you to get a little peek. Quotes will be posted in no particular order, not to give away too much. :)

"Screw you!" - "Don't you wish you could!?" - "Everyone else seems to be."

"Love Letters", 21st & 22nd October, 2011

In about three weeks Ton of Bricks will perform their debut project "Love Letters" by A. R. Gurney at the Raststätte in Aachen. You will find all the necessary information on contact and tickets below.

About the play:

Human relationships are seldom straightforward, and Melissa and Andy are no exception to that rule. Friendship doesn't always seem enough, but love seems impossible. Polar opposites, Andy and Melissa drift together and apart again, yet always remain connected, over decades, distance notwithstanding. The letters they write each other mark the path of the 40-year volatile relationship - from childhood to their 50s - of two people who don't always go well together, but can never go without each other, either. Before the internet, before email, before text messages and cell phones, Andy and Melissa seek to find themselves and each other through the old-fashioned written word. But can a letter ever truly represent the individual?

Performances start at 8.00, admittance is at 7.30. Tickets will be available at the door or can be preordered on Facebook or via loveletters@gmx.de
Tickets are 5 Euros.

Let's get started

Hi there and welcome to Ton of Brick's blog, which will keep you posted on everything you need to know about our little group of mummers and our current debut production of "Love Letters".
In the days to follow we'll fill this page with information: pictures, texts and useful links, as well as work on the overall layout. Enjoy!
